All products and services, including but not limited to the  https://shettyplayzone.com/ , mobile app, games, and services provided through them (collectively referred to as “Services”) offered by Shetty Play Zone., a company incorporated under the applicable laws of India, with its corporate office located at [address details], and/or its affiliates, subsidiaries, associates, and partners (hereinafter collectively referred to as “We/we,” “Us/us,” “Shetty Play Zone.,” “Our/our”) through the website and/or mobile app (hereinafter referred to as the “Website/Mobile App”), are subject to these Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as “Terms” or “Terms of Service”). We reserve the right to modify or amend our Terms at any time without prior notice to you by posting the modified Terms on the Website/Mobile app. Shetty Play Zone may, at its sole discretion, also notify the user of any change or modification in these Terms and Conditions, rules, regulations, and terms of use referred to herein or provided by Shetty Play Zone by way of sending an email to the user’s registered email address or by sending notification to the user’s account. The user may then exercise the options provided in such email or notification to indicate non-acceptance of the modified Terms of Service, rules, regulations, and terms of use referred to herein or provided by Shetty Play Zone. If such options are not exercised by the user within the time frame prescribed in the email or notification, or if the user continues to access the Website/Mobile App after being notified of the changes, the user will be deemed to have accepted the modified Terms, rules, regulations, and terms of use referred to herein or provided by Shetty Play Zone.

 

Description of Our Rummy Games Services

We provide our users/players with an excellent opportunity to enjoy our multiplayer rummy games 24×7. Using our seamless software and IT services, you can play online rummy, a game of skill, with other online rummy players on Shetty Play Zone .

Our Services are only intended to allow you to play rummy for the sole purpose of entertainment. Shetty Play Zone will in no way be responsible or liable for any acts of betting or gambling that may take place outside our Website/Mobile App. Moreover, the state laws of Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Sikkim, Nagaland, and Telangana (hereinafter referred to as “Restricted States” or “Restricted Territories”) do not permit playing cash rummy games in their respective territories. Therefore, in the aforementioned Restricted States, Shetty Play Zone does not offer any games or tournaments that are organized for winnings or prizes in money or in kind. People living in or logged in from the Restricted States are strictly prohibited from playing cash games or tournaments on Shetty Play Zone . We are legally obliged to deduct tax at source (TDS) from Net Winnings (Net Winnings = Withdrawals − Deposits − FY Opening Balance). As per the new tax rules issued by the Government of India, 30% TDS will be deducted from the Net Winnings included in the withdrawal amount at the time of withdrawal or at the end of the financial year. PAN (permanent account number) verification is mandatory for withdrawals. Moreover, KYC verification is mandatory for a cumulative deposit of ₹50,000 or more or the first withdrawal, whichever happens first. KYC verification includes the verification of your ID, address, and mobile number. We reserve the right to verify your PAN and/or KYC documents (ID and address) from time to time and to rescind or cancel any prizes won by you if your PAN and/or KYC documents (ID and address) are found incorrect/inconsistent in our verification process.

GST Compliance and Deductions

In accordance with the amendments to the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, Integrated Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, the State Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, and the associated Rules and Notifications issued under these Acts (collectively referred to as “GST Laws”), Shetty Play Zone is required to collect GST at a rate of 28% (28% of the deposit amount) on the funds deposited by players/users for participation on Shetty Play Zone . Both Shetty Play Zone and the player/user agree that the deposited amount will be considered inclusive of GST. Consequently, Shetty Play Zone will deduct the GST portion from the player’s/user’s account and remit it to the Government.

If Shetty Play Zone , at its sole discretion, decides to refund an accidentally deposited amount by the player/user, the refund will only be processed after the deduction of GST applicable to that amount, as per the GST Laws. Full refunds will not be issued, and any refund is at Shetty Play Zone complete discretion.

 

Place of Supply

For invoicing and tax purposes, the place of supply on the invoice will be determined based on the state provided by the User during registration. It is the User’s responsibility to ensure that the state declared during registration is accurate and reflects their true location.

Until the User completes the KYC (Know Your Customer) process, the declared state will be considered the address on record for all transactions. Once the KYC details are submitted, the place of supply on the invoice will be updated to match the state mentioned in the verified KYC documents. This update will be applied from the date of submission and verification of the KYC details.

In case the User logs out of Shetty Play Zone without completing the KYC process and logs in again, they must manually enter the state location from which they are accessing the platform. The system will not update this information automatically. The place of supply will only be updated once the KYC process is successfully completed.

Users must ensure that their KYC details are accurate, complete, and up-to-date. Shetty Play Zone reserves the right to request additional documents or information to verify the User’s identity and place of supply. Failure to provide accurate KYC details may lead to restrictions on account access and/or suspension of services.

Invoicing and Payment

All invoices will be generated based on the state provided by the User during registration and will be updated to reflect the state in the User’s KYC details once the KYC documents are submitted.

Users agree to pay all applicable taxes and fees according to the place of supply determined by either the state declared during registration or the state specified in the KYC details.

Creation and Operation of a User Account

Geography, Jurisdiction, Payments and Players’ Funds

All transactions on Shetty Play Zone must be in Indian rupees. Upon registering, you will maintain a user account to track all transactions. All payments for cash games must be made through your Shetty Play Zone user account. Any winnings will be credited to your Withdrawal Balance.

Please ensure that the payment method used to add funds to your account belongs to you and is solely used for this purpose. You can deposit money according to the “Add Cash” limits, which may be adjusted at our discretion. Payments made through third-party payment gateways such as credit cards, debit cards, prepaid cards, UPI, and internet banking are subject to their respective terms and conditions. Your Password Is Your Responsibility

Please create a strong password of at least 8 characters, including capital letters, digits and special characters so that nobody can crack your password. The restrictions defined for creating a strong password will be applicable only to passwords created on Shetty Play Zone. Technical Failures

It is possible that you may experience disruptions, including but not limited to errors, disconnections, or interruptions in communication due to issues with your internet services, software, or hardware.

Shetty Play Zone will not be held responsible for any network disconnections on your device caused by issues at your end and will not compensate for any losses arising from such disconnections. In the event of service disruption on Shetty Play Zone end while a game is in progress, as determined solely by Shetty Play Zone , the game will be canceled, and your points or cash will be refunded, regardless of the game’s status.

While playing cash games, you accept full responsibility for the risk of internet disconnections or interruptions between your device and Shetty Play Zone servers, any lag, freezing of the game or software, or any other issues caused by your device or network.

Shetty Play Zone will not be responsible for any disconnection from the server unless it is due to a server crash on Shetty Play Zone side.

In case of a brief disconnection during a game, you will remain at the table and can resume play once the connection is restored, provided you haven’t been eliminated.

No Warranty

Fair Play Policy

1.1.2 Forming teams with other users for collusion or cheating during games on the Website/Mobile App is strictly prohibited. Shetty Play Zone follows a zero-tolerance policy for violations of the Fair Play Policy or Terms of Service. We flag offending players and, at our sole discretion, restrict them from participating in our platform.

1.1.3 If you engage in games at a private table using the “Play with Friends” feature, which is accessible only via exclusive invitation links, Shetty Play Zone cannot monitor player behavior to prevent collusion, team play, or cheating. Therefore, Shetty Play Zone will not be held liable for any financial losses caused by cheating or collusion at private tables.

1.2 Money Laundering
You are prohibited from engaging in any activity that may be construed as money laundering on the Website/Mobile App, including attempting to withdraw real money deposited via credit card/UPI/net banking without playing cash games with that deposit, or deliberately losing money to a specific player(s).

1.3 Anti-Spamming
Sending unsolicited communication, including spam emails, to obtain registrations or benefit from any promotional programs on Shetty Play Zone is strictly prohibited. You are also prohibited from selling anything through Shetty Play Zone or misusing any of its features, including the chat facility.

1.4 Multiple Accounts
You are allowed only one user account for registration. Creating or using multiple user IDs to play or use Shetty Play Zone Services is prohibited.

1.5 Non-Use
You shall not use Shetty Play Zone Website/Mobile App/Services to upload, distribute, or publish any content that:

1.5.1 is libelous, defamatory, obscene, intimidating, invasive of privacy, abusive, illegal, or harassing; 1.5.2 contains hate speech, religious offenses, racial discrimination, or pornography; 1.5.3 is objectionable or undesirable (whether unlawful or not); 1.5.4 incites criminal offenses; 1.5.5 violates anyone’s rights; 1.5.6 solicits donations or other forms of help; 1.5.7 violates intellectual property rights; 1.5.8 disparages Shetty Play Zone or its affiliates; 1.5.9 promotes competing services or products; 1.5.10 violates applicable laws.

1.6 Username Restrictions
If we determine your username is indecent or objectionable, we will notify you to provide an alternate username. Failure to do so may result in suspension or permanent termination of your account.

1.7 Protocol Interception
You shall not host, intercept, emulate, or redirect communication protocols used by Shetty Play Zone . This includes reverse engineering or modifying the Website/Mobile App.

1.8 Framing and Modifications
You may not frame, alter, or modify the Website/Mobile App content or remove any proprietary notices.

1.9 Commercial Use
You may not use Shetty Play Zone Website/Mobile App for commercial purposes such as in cyber cafes or unauthorized servers that replicate our gaming experience.

1.10 Virus and Contaminants

1.12 Unauthorized Activity
Using another person’s credit cards, bank accounts, prepaid cards, or mobile phones for depositing money into your account is strictly prohibited.

1.13 Accessing Someone Else’s Account
You are prohibited from accessing or attempting to access Shetty Play Zone Services through another user’s account.

1.14 Winnings and Bonuses
Winnings, bonuses, and prizes are non-transferable. Any attempt to transfer these benefits will result in forfeiture of the prize.

1.15 Restrictions on Shetty Play Zone Personnel
Employees, agents, or officers of Shetty Play Zone , and their relatives, do not have access to systems that would allow them to manipulate game outcomes or use exclusive advantages.

1.16 Defamatory or Detrimental Material
You shall not post any defamatory material or comments that may harm Shetty Play Zone business interests, even on media not owned or controlled by us. We reserve the right to remove such content and restrict access.

1.17 Privacy Protection
You are responsible for maintaining your privacy and must not share personal information, such as phone number, email, or password, with other users.

1.18 Canceled or Suspended Games
In case of a game cancellation due to technical issues or detected cheating, we will resolve the matter as per our policies. Further actions, including banning offending users, may be taken at our discretion.

No Bribes, Gifts, or Favors

You shall not offer any Shetty Play Zone employee any bribe, gifts, services, compensation, or any other favor that could influence or appear to influence the employee in performing their duties at Shetty Play Zone . Employees of Shetty Play Zone shall not solicit any bribe, gifts, or services from you. Offering Shetty Play Zone employees any cash, cash equivalents, gifts, gift cards, services, or favors is strictly prohibited.

Fair Play Deposit and Withdrawal Policy

If you are a cash player on Shetty Play Zone , your account balance is divided into two accounts: Deposit Account Balance and Withdrawable Account Balance.

Deposit Account Balance: Includes the amount you have deposited, the entry fee paid in games that you won, and the bonus you have earned.
Withdrawable Balance: Only includes the net amount you have won.
Net amount won = amount won – entry fee paid by the winner – platform fee.
You can only withdraw a maximum amount equal to your Withdrawable Balance. You cannot withdraw your deposit balance without using it for playing cash games/tournaments on Shetty Play Zone .

Withdrawal Options

If a player with positive net winnings wishes to withdraw from their Withdrawable Balance, they can:
Pay 30% TDS on the net winnings and withdraw the amount.
Partially transfer GST cashback/instant cash received from Shetty Play Zone to their Deposit Balance and optimize the benefit.
The total GST cashback received by the player in a financial year can be fully adjusted. If your net winnings are more than the GST cashback, the remaining winnings (after deducting the GST cashback) will be taxable at 30%. If your net winnings are less than the GST cashback, a portion of the cashback equal to the net winnings will be transferred to your Deposit Balance, and you will not need to pay TDS on the withdrawal.

Withdrawal Restrictions

Shetty Play Zone may have player-specific withdrawal policies, including:

Daily and monthly limits
Paid and free withdrawal limits
Exceeding free withdrawal limits may incur additional fees for subsequent transactions. Please note that these policies are subject to change at Shetty Play Zone discretion.

Withdrawal Terms

You agree that all withdrawals are subject to the following conditions:

You can withdraw funds from your account, subject to bonus/prize withdrawal restrictions, by notifying us of your request.
Bonuses cannot be withdrawn. Real money earned from cash games or tournaments can only be withdrawn after making at least one cash deposit.
Withdrawals will be processed after KYC verification, and funds will be transferred via IMPS or NEFT. We may reverse the amount to the original payment method used for deposits.
Withdrawal requests will be processed within 24 hours, with bank processing times potentially taking up to 48 hours. Delays may occur due to verification or external factors such as holidays. Shetty Play Zone is not liable for delays in payment processing.

Bonuses

Shetty Play Zone offers eligible users bonuses on deposits made using bonus codes and through various promotions, as specified in the terms and conditions of the promotions. Bonuses cannot be withdrawn as cash. To understand the use of bonuses, please refer to the specific terms and conditions of bonuses and bonus offers. If bonuses remain unused within the validity period specified in the terms and conditions of the corresponding promotions, they will lapse.

Terms of Payment

By entering into any transactions on Shetty Play Zone , including making a payment to participate in paid skill games, you agree to be bound by the following payment terms:

The payment made to participate in any skill game is inclusive of Shetty Play Zone fixed platform fee, which includes access to the platform and the user’s contribution to the prize pool. The platform fee may change at Shetty Play Zone discretion, and the changes will be reflected in the transaction details. Shetty Play Zone reserves the right to adjust the platform fee at any time without prior notice.

All funds collected from the user are held in a non-interest earning Trust Account until the determination of winners and distribution of prizes. Shetty Play Zone receives only its share of the platform fee from the Trust Account and has no control over the user’s funds.

The amount you pay to participate in a skill game will contribute to the game’s prize pool, which will be awarded to the winners per the game’s rules. Shetty Play Zone facilitates the collection and distribution of this prize pool but has no rights to it, except for the platform fee. A nominal platform service fee will be charged on the final prize pool, and the amount paid by you towards the prize pool will be debited from your Deposit Balance in the Trust Account.

Shetty Play Zone provides three types of accounts for payment processing and reconciliation: Deposit Balance Account, Withdrawable Balance Account, and Bonus Account. Please note, transfers between the Deposit Balance and Withdrawable Balance are not permitted.

Net winnings (after the deduction of entry fees and platform fees) will be credited to your Withdrawable Balance. You can only withdraw the amount available in this account.

Amounts credited to your account must be used within 365 days. If there is no activity on your account within this period (such as playing games, making deposits, or withdrawals), Shetty Play Zone reserves the right to apply the Inactive Accounts and Unused Funds Policy, which may result in forfeiture of unused funds.

When requesting a withdrawal from your Withdrawable Balance, Shetty Play Zone will initiate an online transfer to your registered bank account. You will need to provide valid KYC documentation (including a government-issued ID, address proof, and PAN card) for the withdrawal to be processed. If your account is not verified or no bank account is registered, Shetty Play Zone will notify you. Failure to comply may lead to forfeiture of the funds.

Shetty Play Zone may grant bonuses to users for participation in skill games. These bonuses cannot be transferred to your Withdrawable Balance or bank account. The usage of bonuses is subject to specific terms, including time restrictions. Bonuses are not refundable and will be reversed if your account is terminated or if you terminate your account with Shetty Play Zone .

Once a transaction is confirmed, it is final, and no cancellation is permitted. Any transaction may take up to 72 hours to be processed, including deposits and bonus disbursements.

Shetty Play Zone may, at its discretion, refund amounts under exceptional circumstances, subject to applicable cancellation charges and taxes. Any additional terms or conditions related to a specific transaction will take precedence over these general terms if there is a conflict.

Breach and Consequences

If you breach these Terms of Service, engage in fraudulent activity, or use the Website/Mobile App for illegal or unlawful purposes, including cheating or making false chargeback claims, Shetty Play Zone reserves the right to take any or all of the following actions at its sole discretion, without prior notice:

  1. Temporarily suspend your account.
  2. Permanently terminate or block your account.
  3. Initiate relevant legal proceedings.

In addition to these actions, if you engage in any disallowed activities, Shetty Play Zone has the right to treat any related activities as void and non-existent. We may withhold or retain any money in your account associated with the disallowed activity, at our discretion. If only part of the amount is withheld, the remaining portion will be returned to the original source.

You acknowledge that you have no right to claim compensation or consideration in the event of such actions being taken against your account due to disallowed activities. All actions taken by us are without prejudice to our other legal rights and remedies.

Governing Law, Dispute Resolution, and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or relating to the services provided by Shetty Play Zone, or the interpretation, construction, and enforcement of these Terms, shall be resolved in the courts located in Bengaluru, India, which have exclusive jurisdiction. All legal issues will be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India.

If a dispute arises, the party raising the issue must provide written notification (“Notification”) to the other party. Upon receipt of the Notification, both parties should attempt to resolve the dispute through discussions. If the dispute remains unresolved within 15 days of the Notification, it will be settled through arbitration.

The arbitration will be conducted in Bengaluru, India, in English, and in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, as amended. The arbitration award will be final and binding on both parties. Each party will bear its own arbitration costs, and the arbitrator’s fees will be equally shared unless the tribunal decides otherwise. The arbitrator can issue interim orders, and these will be enforceable in competent courts. The arbitrator must provide a reasoned award.

Shetty Play Zone reserves the right to seek interim or permanent equitable relief, including injunctive relief, before or during arbitration or in connection with its enforcement. Seeking such relief will not waive Shetty Play Zone right to pursue monetary damages via arbitration.

Additionally, Shetty Play Zone is a member of the E-Gaming Federation (EGF), and its Corporate Identification Number (CIN) is.

All the online content, materials, and information available on our Website/Mobile App (collectively referred to as “Content” hereinafter) are secured by intellectual property rights. When you register with Shetty Play Zone , you will receive notifications regarding special offers, updates, contests, account activities, etc. through SMSes, emails, and direct mails. Account Validation

Shetty Play Zone has the right to check or validate the personal information of the players/users from time to time. The process of validation can be done through a phone call or via email. If we are not able to get in touch with you at first, several attempts will be made to establish contact with you. Inactive Accounts and Unused Funds

If your account has been inactive for over 365 days and it has an unused cash balance (whether as Deposit Balance or Withdrawable Balance), Shetty Play Zone shall remind you to activate your account. To activate your account, you must log in and play a free game, a cash game or a tournament, or make a cash deposit or withdrawal. After the reminders sent to your email address and phone number (via SMS), if you still do not activate your account, your account balance shall be forfeited to Shetty Play Zone at the sole discretion of Shetty Play Zone. All reminders shall be sent to the email address or phone number (via SMS) listed on your profile as part of the account details and information you provided to Shetty Play Zone. Accounts found in breach of our Terms of Service shall receive no reminders, and the unused funds in such accounts shall be subject to the terms of our Breach and Consequences policy.

Indemnity

In accordance with the extent that is permitted by law, and in humble consideration for allowing you to use our Services, you hereby agree with full knowledge to indemnify, defend, and save us and hold us harmless to the complete extent of all awards and benefits, disbursements, litigation costs, and reasonable attorney fees that we may have to incur or suffer in connection therewith, including any sort of direct or indirect or consequential losses that may refer to any loss of profit and reputation that can arise from any claims, suits, taxes, actions, causes of actions, damages, penalties, injuries, expenses, demands, interest and/or awards imposed, brought, or asserted against us by any person who has a connection, without limitation, with:

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Shetty Play Zone and its affiliates (together “Indemnified Parties”) against any losses, expenses, costs, or damages (including reasonable attorneys’ fees, experts’ fees, and other reasonable costs of litigation or proceedings) arising from any claim or action based upon:

  • Your breach or failure to comply with the terms and conditions of these Terms;
  • Your access and use of the Content;
  • Your breach of applicable laws;

Users are solely responsible for any consequences that may arise due to their access to the Services, including conducting any illegal activity or failing to comply with these Terms of Service or other applicable rules and regulations. This includes providing incorrect information such as address or other personal details. Users agree to indemnify Shetty Play Zone and its officers, directors, employees, and agents for any loss or damage suffered by Shetty Play Zone due to such actions, including, without limitation, the cost of attorney fees and legal charges, on a full indemnity basis.

Users shall indemnify, defend, and hold Shetty Play Zone harmless from any claims made by third parties arising from or related to the user’s engagement with Shetty Play Zone or participation in any game. In no event shall Shetty Play Zone be liable to any user for acts or omissions related to their engagement with the Website/Mobile App or participation in any games.

In consideration of Shetty Play Zone allowing users to access the Services, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, users waive and release each and every right or claim, including all actions or causes of action (present or future), against Shetty Play Zone , its respective agents, directors, officers, business associates, group companies, sponsors, employees, or representatives for any injuries, accidents, or mishaps (whether known or unknown, anticipated or unanticipated) arising from the provision of the Services, the games, or the prizes associated with them.

Any material accessed, downloaded, or otherwise obtained through Shetty Play Zone is done at the user’s discretion, competence, acceptance, and risk. The user will be solely responsible for any potential damage to their computer system or loss of data resulting from downloading such material.

To the extent permitted under law, neither Shetty Play Zone nor its partners, licensors, or associates shall be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use the site, even if Shetty Play Zone has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Miscellaneous

Shetty Play Zone may be required under certain legislations to notify the user(s) of certain events. User(s) hereby acknowledge and consent that such notices will be effective upon Shetty Play Zone posting them on the Website/Mobile App or delivering them to the user through the email address provided by the user at the time of registration. Account Deletion

Users may request us to delete their Shetty Play Zone accounts in accordance with the provisions of our [applicable policy]. Please note that if a user proceeds with account deletion, they will be opted out of all our tournaments, games, challenger contests, leaderboard contests, and all other Services immediately. Any and all entry fees paid and/or tickets purchased for tournaments, leaderboard contests, challenger contests, or other contests, games, or promotions that have not concluded at the time of the account deletion request will be forfeited to Shetty Play Zone immediately. Under no circumstances will Shetty Play Zone be responsible or liable to refund such entry fees or ticket costs. Additionally, Shetty Play Zone reserves the right to confiscate any funds available in the user’s account at the time of account deletion.

Users have the option to restore their deleted Shetty Play Zone accounts within 30 days from the date of the account deletion request. Please note that if you request account restoration within this time frame, your account will be restored with a zero balance, regardless of your account balance at the time of deletion. Shetty Play Zone/Shetty Games shall not be responsible or liable to refund or restore any forfeited account balance resulting from the deletion of your Shetty Play Zone account.
